WHAT IS IT?

The Covington Community Bike Ride occurs year-round on the first Sunday of every month, leaving from the historic Covington square at 3:00 PM. The outing is geared to riders of all abilities looking for a relaxing, conversational ride along the area's low-traffic streets and trails.

 

There are two segments: 1) A 4.3-mile loop through historic downtown Covington incorporating the Cricket Frog Trail and local streets. 2) A second leg of variable route and distance, incorporating other area trails. (CCBR MAP)

Children of any age are welcome, but those under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult.  Per Georgia law, helmets are required for those under age 16. 

Weather Policy: The coldest days of winter and hottest days of summer aren't likely to stop the Community Bike Ride. However, severe weather warnings may warrant cancellation. Please refer to the Newton Trails Facebook page for the latest Community Bike Ride news.
