Once again, Newton Trails will be one of the beneficiaries of the annual Covington Century Ride to be held in Newton County on Saturday, August 1st. The ride is hosted by The Southern Bicycle League, The City of Covington and Piedmont Technical College. With ride lengths of 17, 32, 67 or 100 miles available, the Covington Century has something for everybody.
Come ride your fastest century or just pedal S L O W L Y in the morning mist. Meander past green and gold vistas that please the sunlit eye. You'll glide through the historical towns of Covington, Oxford, Jersey, Rutledge then continue through Social Circle, Newborn and Mansfield. Lots of great rest stops stocked full of homemade goodies, and New Belgium Beer will be part of the post ride celebration.
Newton Trails will be hosting the first reststop on the ride. Please contact us if you're interested in volunteering for this early morning shift of greeting riders and serving drinks and snacks.
