Newton Trails Sponsors Theme School Walking Program
February 3, 2017
This past fall, Newton Trails began sponsoring an EZ Scan® lap tracker system at the Newton County Theme School at Ficquett as part of an effort to promote student health and wellness. The program is being implemented during PE classes, recess, and morning fitness clubs. For the program, students strive to walk as many laps as they can during a session and receive rewards based on the number of laps completed.
The EZ Scan helps students and teachers record laps and maintain a database to track their progress. No more punching cards or counting popsicle sticks. Using barcode technology, students simply scan a card with a tablet device. EZ Scan® captures student laps via the barcode and then syncs them with the EZ Tally® database.
EZ Tally® is the online database that makes it easy to record run club information. Already used by hundreds of schools, EZ Tally is an easy way to record laps, track awards, print unlimited certificates and create amazing printable stats.
Newton Trails is proud be collaborating with the Theme School on this innovative program.
