As part of their platinum-level sponsorship of Newton Trails, Piedmont Healthcare has installed a variety of instructional exercise signs along the paved section of the Cricket Frog Trail in Covington. Beginning at the Elm Street trailhead, the signs invite trail users to start on the path to "Living Better." The signs challenge trail users to sets of push-ups, jumping jacks and lunges, as well as stretching.
The Piedmont Living Better campaign inspires, informs and celebrates healthy living to create a wellness movement in local communities by encouraging incremental changes for a healthier lifestyle. People don’t have to run a marathon or bench press their body weight to be healthy. They can take the stairs instead of the elevator, eat smaller portions while still enjoying the foods they love or get out and take a walk with their families instead of sitting in front of the TV. As an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization, Newton Trails relies on the support of local businesses, organizations and individuals to promote, develop and sustain trails in Newton County. Learn more about sponsorship opportunities.
