Join area churches as they gather to walk Newton Trails
Monday, March 26th, 6 p.m.
Meet at Eastside High School parking lot. Address: 10245 Eagle Drive, Covington, GA 30014
Rev. Dr. Doug Gilreath, Senior Pastor, Covington First United Methodist Church will lead the walk. He will say a few words about the spiritual benefits of nature and everyone will walk, run or bike the Eastside Trail to Chimney Park (located behind the Newton County Library). This is a 2.5-mile, multi-use, paved trail. Participants can walk the round trip for a 5-mile walk or turn around at any time.
And if you can't make Monday's walk...
Tuesday, March 27th, 6 p.m.
Meet at the George Street Park, located on W. Clark Street and Pierce Street.
Address: Oxford City Hall, 110 W Clark Street, Oxford, GA 30054. Parking is available along the sides of the street.
Pastor Eric Wendel Lee, Sr., Senior Pastor, Springfield Baptist Church will lead the walk. He will say a few words about the spiritual benefits of nature and everyone will walk, run or bike the Oxford Trail (located in the City of Oxford and Oxford College campus of Emory University). The Oxford Trail is a 1.2-mile, 8-foot wide, multi-use concrete trail.
