NOTE: ALL HIKES WILL BEGIN AT THE TRAIL HEADS FOR THE REST OF THE SUMMER. We will NOT meet in Mayfield Hardware's parking lot until further notice.
It’s time to beat the heat on our weekly hikes! Starting this Wednesday thru the end of August we will stay fairly local and meet at the trail head in order to try to beat the heat.
Our hike on June 20th will be just south of Mansfield at Charlie Elliot Wildlife Center.
We will meet at the trailhead at 8:00 am.

Charlie Elliot Wildlife Center 543 Elliott Trail, Mansfield (GA)
--Distance from Covington: 24 miles
--Start: Go to the trail head parking on Marben Farm Rd. (Do not go to the visitors center). The trailhead is on the right after you enter the center just past the information pull out.
--Restrooms: Porta potty at trailhead.
--Trail distance: 5.7 miles
--Difficulty: Easy to moderate
--Trail surface: natural
--Leashed dogs permitted
This area is open to the various hunting season’s during the year. Check with the visitor center to make sure there is no hunting before using the trail. 770.784.3059.
