Wednesday, September 26: Hike on 2 Yellow River trails in Porterdale

Our hike on September 26 will start with the River Trail through Yellow River Park. We will also check out the whitewater overlook below the dam. Then we will walk a short way on the street before moving onto private property and following the Rock House Trail on the bank of the Yellow River.
Plan to meet in Porterdale at 8:00 a.m. in the gravel parking lot across from the Mill Lofts (intersection of Main Street/Hwy 81 and Hemlock Street).

Yellow River trails in Porterdale: Yellow River Park and Rock House Trail
Distance from Covington: 3 miles
Start: at the Depot at the edge of the gravel parking lot on Main Street.
Restrooms are not available at the beginning of our hike.
Trail distance: around 3 miles
Difficulty: Combination of easy and moderate with a few challenging stretches which can be detoured
Trail surface: paved and natural forest surface
Canine Compatibility: Sure!
