Our hike on Oct. 24th is at Dauset Trails.
Plan to meet at 8:00 a.m. in the Parking Lot at Mayfield Ace Hardware (on Elm Street in Covington). We have permission to park there -- but please park at the bottom of their lot closes to Walgreen's.
If you prefer, meet us at the location below.
After the Hike we will eat lunch at Fresh Air Barbecue.
Distance from Covington: 30 miles.
Start: We will meet at the restrooms at the parking area near the Nature Center.
Trail distance: We will hike 5 miles.
Trail surface: Natural forest trail with tree roots.
Canine Compatibility: Dogs must be leashed on hiking trails. No pets are allowed in the Nature Center area.
Nearest Town: Jackson
Fees: Free parking and free entry

Other: The nature center has an easy nature trail, a barnyard area, a reptile room, and a nice walkway with displays of rescued native animals.
