Wednesday, December 12th: Lakeside Trail at Sandy Creek Park

    December 6, 2018

Wednesday, December 12, 2018 – Lakeside Trail at Sandy Creek Park

Our hike on December 12th is at Sandy Creek Park in Athens. We will hike a portion of the Lakeside Trail.

Plan to meet at 9:00 am in the parking lot at Mayfield Ace Hardware (Elm Street in Covington).  We have permission to park there. Please park at the bottom of their lot close to Walgreens. You are welcome to carpool or meet us at the location. If driving on your own, you might want to give the hike leader a call so we will know to wait for you before taking off on the hike!

Special Instructions: If you’re coming on your own, we will meet at the boat ramp. After passing through the entrance station you will take a left on the traffic circle. Once on the circle, you will then take the next left. The boat ramp parking lot and restrooms will be near the end of this road. Before beginning the hike we will have to shuttle a few vehicles to the termination point of the hike. This will take a few extra minutes.

After the hike we will eat at Taqueria del Sol, 334 Prince Avenue, Athens.
