Our hike on March 13th is a hike to Panola Mountain. At Panola Mountain State Park you can only access the actual mountain with an interpreter. We have arranged for a private tour of the mountain with the interpreter which does cost eight dollars per person. There is also a fee to enter the park but several of us have the state park permit so if you want to car pool than the entrance fee is covered.
Plan to leave at 9:00 a.m. from the Parking Lot at Mayfield Ace Hardware (on Elm Street in Covington). We have permission to park there -- but please park at the bottom of their lot close to Walgreen's.
If you prefer, meet us at the location below.
After the hike we will eat at Nana’s Chicken-n-Waffles on Flat Shoals in Conyers.
