Our hike on Dec. 18th is at Rock Hawk Park near Eatonton. We will hike the Green, blue and part of the yellow trails (about 5 miles).
Plan to meet at 9:00 am in the parking lot at Mayfield Ace Hardware (Elm Street in Covington). We have permission to park there, but please park at the bottom of their lot close to Walgreens.
If you prefer, meet us at the location below.
After the hike we will eat at Mellow Mushroom near Lake Oconee.

Rock Hawk (125 Wallace Dam Rd., Eatonton, GA 31024)
Distance from Covington: 50 miles
Start: Parking area close to the rock effigy
Orange & red trails – 4.5 miles
Green, blue and part of yellow trails – est. 5 miles
Yellow trail, model T, and Upper T with connecting pieces – est. 5 miles
Trail surface: natural surface
Leashed dogs permitted
Fees: no fee

Other: The trail distance includes multiple trails. Trails are multi -use. There is a Viewing tower, quarry and plant trail.
