Newton Trails Donor, Sponsor, and Supporter Recognition Program

Effective September 12, 2022

As a non-governmental, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Newton Trails, Inc., relies on funds generously contributed by donors, sponsors, and supporters. Every contribution is much appreciated and Newton Trails will always seek to thank and recognize contributing people and organizations.

Newton Trails reaches over 1600 people through its quarterly electronic newsletter, occasional email messages, and annual report. Over 3300 people follow Newton Trails on Facebook. Unknown numbers of trail users see its trailhead kiosks. Hundreds of people attend its annual fund-raiser. Recognition in Newton Trails annual report, newsletters, social media, kiosks, or fund-raiser signage therefore reaches many area citizens.

Newton Trails fund-raising cycle runs from January 1 through December 31 of each year. All contributions in a given year will be recognized in Newton Trails’ annual report distributed in January of the following year, excepting only givers who wish to remain anonymous. Contributions of $500 or more will also be recognized until the giver’s name has appeared in four quarterly newsletters.

Newton Trails recognizes the following types of givers:

  • Donors – Individuals or organizations who give cash or in-kind donations. Their gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

  • Sponsors – Individuals or organizations who sponsor a specific event or trail amenity with a cash or in-kind contribution. Their gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

  • Supporters – Individuals or organizations who contribute, but receive something of value in return. For example, someone who placed a winning bid on an auction item at a Newton Trails’ fundraiser. Their contributions are not tax-deductible.

Newton Trails offers the following giving levels and associated recognitions. For significant contributions, there are opportunities for naming rights or other benefits at the sole discretion of the Newton Trails Board of Directors:
